Control Panel Upgrade and Integration in Edinburgh

The brief

This Edinburgh site had a new smoke ventilation system going in, and the existing control panel needed upgrading so the two systems could communicate. One of the existing fan units had also been damaged by a car and needed replacing.

What we did

• Upgraded the control panel to integrate with the newly installed smoke ventilation system
• Replaced the HMI/PLC and the inverters within the panel
• Changed out the fan unit that had been damaged by a vehicle

The result

Both systems now work together through a single upgraded panel, with new controls and drives and a replacement fan back in service.
